About Dr. Lisy

After being raised in Chattanooga, Dr. Andrew Lisy received his bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. He continued to the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine and graduated in the top five in his class.

Dr. Lisy decided to continue his education and went to residency obtaining a degree in Advanced Education in General Dentistry from the Foundry Dental Center in Birmingham, AL. There he received advanced training in oral surgery, single and full arch implants, wisdom tooth removal, complex full mouth rehabilitation, and IV sedation. Because of this training, Dr. Lisy currently serves as part time faculty at a nonprofit clinic in Chattanooga, mentoring dental residents interested in the same set of experiences.

Dr. Lisy’s fiancée, Olivia, is also a dentist. The two met in dental residency and have been inseparable ever since. They both have grown to love the mountains and river valley of South Pittsburg and hope to one day call it their home. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Lisy enjoys playing tennis, piano, and painting/drawing. The logo for Arch Dental is something he created, inspired by his family roots in the Czech Republic. Growing up, Dr. Lisy spent many of his summers abroad with his extended family, experiences that gave him a deep appreciation for culture, community, and connection. He loves talking about travel, hearing where others come from, and learning through the stories and experiences of the people he meets.

In his words

I can’t wait to meet you here at Arch Dental! One of the main reasons I chose dentistry is the opportunity to get to know people and make a meaningful difference in their lives. I truly believe a smile is a gateway to connection. It brings people together and allows someone’s personality to shine. Helping restore a person’s smile can restore their confidence and sense of self, and it is such a gift to be a part of that journey.

Becoming a dentist in a small town is also something I have always dreamed of. Growing up, I spent my summers on my grandfather’s farm in the Czech countryside, where I learned just how special it is to be part of a close-knit community. Those experiences taught me the value of meaningful relationships, looking out for one another, and truly knowing the people around you.

I’m so excited to bring that same sense of connection to my work at Arch Dental, and I look forward to becoming a part of the South Pittsburg community!
